Designing a complete 0 → 1 product helping people save effortlessly through everyday spending

Cagn’Up is a fintech app by Garance that helps people save automatically through their daily purchases. Users buy digital shopping cards from over 250 brands (Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, Amazon, etc.), earn instant cashback, and once their wallet reaches €50, the balance is transferred into a Garance savings account: turning consumption into capital growth. Garance’s challenge was to make saving as easy and rewarding as spending. The system behind cashback, payments, KYC, and compliance was complex; our goal was to translate it into a simple, transparent, and trustworthy experience that could drive adoption, retention, and long-term savings engagement. I led the end-to-end product design, from concept to launch; defining flows, UI, onboarding, KYC, complex use cases, shaping new features and business logic, and building the entire mobile design system. My role also covered product strategy and metrics, ensuring each design decision supported engagement and revenue growth.
